We’d thank God for the wind
That makes us dance with
Waves and mists.
If we were grass
We’d thank God for the rain
The seas have carried
To make us green and grow.
If we were beasts
We’d thank God for the
waters and the lands
for we need these to prosper.
But we are men
And thank God not enough
For all his love does offer.
