The Alternative Show is specifically directed to the novice, outsider, and beginning artists along with the myriad of creatives, young and old, skilled, and not so much, who grace our walls with art. Not only is it a positive experience for everyone, but it’s also a chance to exhibit in a collective of works by people who share the love of art in all its joys and aberrations. As an exhibitor, here or anywhere, you have joined an amazing community of like-minded people who are erratically different.

Executive Director at The Art Studio, Inc.

As a contributing artist there are a few gallery guidelines we expect you to follow. If you do not follow these guidelines your work may not be included in the show.

  1. All works entered must originate with the artist submitting them. No copyrighted materials, characters, or content from existing games, books, movies, or any other media may be submitted for this exhibition. Digital and analog work is accepted, but AI generated images are not permitted.
  2. Work must be ready to hang. Framed or matted, it must have wire across the back by which to be hung by one hook on the wall. Sculpture must be stable and able to stand on its own. Artwork may not exceed 36 inches in any dimension.
  3. Completely fill out the Entry Application and Entry Label. Each artist may submit one piece. Cut out the Entry Label and firmly attach to your artwork – on the lower back of 2D work or the bottom of 3D artwork. If your work is not for sale, mark the price as NFS. Please print clearly and fill out each form thoroughly.
  4. Entries must be submitted in person during the designated entry dates. All entries must remain on view in the gallery until the end of the exhibition and picked up ASAP following the close of the show. Any works left for more than one month after the closing date will be considered a donation to TASI.
  5. TASI takes a 30% commission on all sales, so work should be priced with that in mind. All transactions will be conducted by The Art Studio, Inc. Sales tax is collected at the time of sale. Payouts to artists from any sold work will be made one month after the exhibition closes.
  6. All work is presented at your own risk, as TASI has no insurance for the protection of art. All precautions will be taken to protect the art but we are not responsible for loss or damage of your work.

Your entry into the show implies your agreement with these guidelines.

You may print out the form below to submit with your artwork on the designated dates, or just bring in your artwork and we will have blank forms ready for you to fill out on site. Application forms are sent out to all current TASI members in the April mailer.
