The Art Studio, Inc. is seeking Administrative Interns to join our hard-working team!

Application will remain open until positions are filled. 

Hours of Operation:
Tuesdays through Saturdays
12:00pm – 5:00pm each day
And evenings at least twice per month (event dates given in advance)

Please note: this is a voluntary, unpaid position. Administrative interns are required to volunteer a minimum of four hours per week across two shifts during operating hours, plus occasional evening support at least twice monthly (scheduled in advance.) Applicants must have a reliable means of transportation. 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Answer phones, greet visitors, give tours of the facility

• Handle sales, registrations, membership renewals

• Maintain tidy merchandise and literature for guests

• Keep office supplies organized and in stock

• Prepare communications such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence

• Write and edit communications, from letters to reports and instructional documents

• Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical

• Create and schedule posts on the organization’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, WordPress)

• Additional and amended duties as assigned according to the needs of the organization.

• Daily use of Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe programs, as well as Apple, Windows, and Android operating systems.

• Communications and collaboration: An administrative intern must collaborate with other administrators and support personnel, management, and clients on a regular basis.

• Organizational skills: Your ability to maintain order helps keep the organization efficient and pleasant for visitors, volunteers, and other staff.

• Writing: Your emails, letters, documents and social media posts reflect upon the organization, so you need to know how to write professionally, using proper spelling and grammar. All data entry tasks must be done with complete accuracy.

• Interest in the organization: You must have at least some prior knowledge about either the non-profit world or the art world.
