“The works in this exhibition are digital archival prints captured using a digital rangefinder camera. All images are of the Southeast Texas region, ranging from Jasper to Houston.
I chose these near-vertical images for exhibition because they represent my fixation with alternative perspectives, centering subjects in the frame, capturing symmetry, and finding the beauty in decay. Shooting these images forced me to move very close to my subject, to look upwards rather than forward; and was quite humbling at times. The photos serve as a reminder of my small place in this world, and as an example of the beauty of things seen from a different angle.
I captured these photographs with my beloved Fujifilm X100T rangefinder. Tone and color were modified during post processing in Adobe Lightroom Classic.”
