Artist statement:
Hello, I’m Olivia Cobb, student, creator, and The Art Studio Inc administrative assistant. Born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, currently attending Lamar University pursuing a graphic design major.
All my life I have been surrounded by art and artists, inspired by all things bizarre. My five painting series “Flaming Heart”is showcasing at The Avenue Cafe, Port Neches, TX until November 2022.
My painting style ranges from surrealism, abstract to realistic. This series has a consistent theme of fantasy surrealism. Covering other worldly topics, and channeling fall vibes. With the “Flaming Heart” series, I wanted to challenge myself to think outside of the box when creating a painting; focusing on curating my personal style
What I want people to take from this series is this:
Challenge the norm and embrace YOUR originality.
